PM Internship Scheme is an initiative launched by the Indian government. The union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman initiated the PM Internship 2024 scheme. It was created and designed to offer several PM internship opportunities and salaries based on competition to the youth of India from 21-24 years of age. The PM Internship Scheme aims to bridge the gap between real-world and academic learning by providing internships across the top 500 companies. PM Internship Scheme 2024 targets around 1.25 lakh youth to facilitate and entitle internships with a 12-month duration.

Step to Register on the PM Internship Scheme Portal Login

  • Step 1: Visit the official website of the PM Internship Scheme to access the portal application at pminternship.mca.gov.in.

  • Step 2: Click the “Youth Registration” tab on the home page to start the PM Internship Scheme registration process.

  • Step 3: Candidates can also click on the “Register Now” button on the home page.

  • Step 4: Enter the details like the mobile number on the “Register Youth” pop-up. (You must enter the mobile number linked to the Aadhaar number.)

  • Step 5: Confirm the checkbox once you have entered the mobile number.

  • Step 6: Now, press the “Submit” button.

  • Step 7: The candidate will get an OTP on the mobile number. Enter the OTP to verify the mobile number.

  • Step 8: Candidates will receive a password to log in to the website. (Candidates can use this password as the current password to update their password upon the first login.)

  • Step 9: Click on the “Update Password” to create a new password.

  • Step 10: Access the user account page upon creating a new password successfully.

  • Step 11: The candidate can access the portal and click on the “Candidate Profile” section.

Step 1: e-KYC

To create a profile, the candidate needs to do e-KYC through an Aadhaar number or Digilocker.

1. e-KYC through Digilocker (MeriPehchaan)

  • He/she must check in the appropriate Digilocker checkbox for e-KYC.

  • Click on the “Proceed with MeriPehchaan.”

  • Enter your Aadhaar number and request for the OTP by clicking on the “Request OTP” button.

  • Enter the OTP and click on the “Continue” button to move further.

  • Enter the six-digit security PIN to access the DigiLocker account.

  • Click on the continue.

  • The candidate need to Sign-In to the Digilocker account.

  • Select mobile, username or modes of authentication to sign in. Tick on the box.

  • Provide your consent to share the Aadhaar card details with the PM Internship Scheme. Click on the aadhaar checkbox and click on Allow to move to the next step.

  • Provide your email ID and click on “Verify”.

  • Enter the OTP to verify the email ID and click on the “Submit” button to complete the e-KYC through DigiLocker.

2. e-KYC through Aadhaar Number

  • Click on the checkbox for selecting the e-KYC through Aadhaar.

  • Enter the Aadhaar Number or virtual ID.

  • Click on the consent checkbox and read the terms and conditions.

  • Enter the captcha and click on “Send OTP.”

  • Enter the OTP received on the mobile number and verify it.

  • Click on the “Verify and Proceed” to know the eligibility for the PM Internship Scheme.

  • Enter the portal to complete the profile creation.

Step 2: Personal Details

After completing the e-KYC, the candidate can click on the profile creation Personal Details. Name, Gender, and date of birth will be automatically fetched by the system from the e-KYC interface.

  • Fill in the details on the personal details page like father/mother/guardian name, category, and permanent address.

  • Check the yes/no field depending on the permanent or current address. If it's not the same, enter the current address.

  • Enter the current address providing address details.

  • If the candidate is differently abled, they can select the option or click on no.

  • If the candidates want to edit the details he/she entered, they can click on the previous section and edit the details entered.

  • Click on the “Save & Next” button.

Step 3: Contact Details

  • Now, the candidate has to provide the contact details.

  • The candidate’s registered mobile number will be auto-populated in this field. He/she can enter an alternate mobile number.

  • Students need to enter their email IDs and click on the “Send OTP” button.

  • Candidates are required to enter the OTP to verify.

  • They can edit the details of the profile creation.

  • Click on the “Save & Next” button.

Step 4: Education Details

  • Candidates have to provide their education details in the particular section.

  • They need to enter 10th, 12th, and graduation qualification documents.

  • Click on “Save & Move” to the next qualification.

  • Students need to enter his/her qualification course from the dropdown list.

  • Select the stream or specialisation, name of the board/university, name of the institution, year of passing, marks obtained, CGPA/grades/percentage.

  • Upload all the required documents and click on the “Choose file” option to upload the documents in PDF format of size up to 2 MB.

  • Click on the “Save & Next” option and students can enter the

Step 5: Bank Details

  • Candidates have to confirm if their bank account is Aadhaar-seeded.

  • He/she has to select the “Yes radio button” if their bank account is Aadhaar-seeded and click on the “No radio button” if it is not.

  • Students will be notified about the verification status through the SMS option.

  • The candidate has to visit his/her bank branch if the verification is unsuccessful.

  • Once he/she gets the Aadhaar-seeded account details, they can revisit the page to update the details.

  • Click on the “Save & Proceed” option.

Step 6: Skills & Languages

  • Students have to enter their skills and known languages.

  • Candidates can select his/her applicable skills from the drop-down list.

  • They can select multiple skills.

  • Students have to select their known languages and enter their past experience, additional certifications, and other details.

  • Click on the “Checkbox” button to provide the consent.

  • Once the candidate fills up the above-mentioned details, then he/she can click on the “Generate CV” to generate and review the CV.

  • You can download a copy of your resume.

  • Make sure you filled all sections of your profile and saved them before generating the CV.

  • Click on the “Complete Profile” button to save the information and to complete the “Candidate Profile.”

Who is Eligible for PM Internship Scheme Registration

  • The student must be an Indian citizen.

  • Candidates must be aged between 21-24 years (Note: as of the last date of application submission).

  • Students enrolled in full-time education are not eligible.

  • Must have completed the secondary school certificate (SSC) or its equivalent, higher secondary certificate (HSC) or equivalent or students must hold a certificate from an Industrial Training Institute (ITI), a diploma from a Polytechnic institute or have graduated in B.Com, BA, BCA, & B.Sc, B.Pharma, and BBA.

  • International candidates are not eligible to apply for the PM internship scheme.
