PM Internship Scheme Selection Procedure

Here’s how the companies select the candidates for the PM Internship scheme. Companies would be able to choose from the shortlisted group based on their respective selection criteria and process.

  • Selection of Candidates: The companies will send the internship offers to the candidates through the portal. Once the company sends the internship offer to the candidate, he/she can accept or reject the offer on the portal. Candidates may receive up to two internship offers in one cycle. Companies can use a model format on the portal to send the offer letter.

  • Internship document generation: Once the candidate accepts the offer, the PMIS portal will automatically generate an Internship document outlining the internship details including the responsibilities and roles of the company and the intern.

  • Joining the Internship: Upon joining the internship, the company will confirm the candidate joining on the portal. Once the company confirms, the candidate will get INR 6,000 as a grant for incidentals. The government will disburse the grant through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

  • Internship: The company will pay INR 500 every month and will report the payment on the portal. The government will then release the INR 4,500 after confirmation. The amount would be transferred through DBT mode.

  • Internship Completion and Certification: Once the candidate completes the internship, the partner company will issue a Certificate of Completion.
