5 Free Learning Apps, Games To Help Children With Science, Maths, English

It’s not necessary that school kids should only learn when they are confined within the four walls of the classroom. Several scientific experiments have proved that kids learn best when education is combined with entertainment. This article lists five free educational applications – learning apps – to help kids build their vocabulary, practise reading, learn Arithmetic, Science and Geography. Kids can learn through animations and games via these applications. The apps are available in Google Play and can be downloaded and used for free.

Math Kids: Maths Game For Kids

Math Kids, designed by RV Studios, is a free learning game and an e-learning app for kids. It contains games for kids to learn various maths-based functions such as Counting, Addition, Comparison and Subtraction. Different games are listed in the app.

Through puzzles, quizzes, games and practice sessions, the application teaches counting, comparing, addition, subtraction, division and multiplication. The games are accompanied by music and animations. It's like a drag-and-place-type game – kids have to drag the numbers and signs (=, +, -, >, <) to the correct positions. For example, “3” is less than “4”. Therefore, the user has to drag the sign “<” from the given options and place it between “3” and “4”. If the answers are correct, the game characters, Lucas or Ruby, appreciate the players. If answers are wrong, they provide chances till the kid gets the answer right.
