Delhi Public School (DPS) Gurgaon Celebrates Founders' Day

Delhi Public School, Sec 45, Gurgaon recently celebrated 21st Founder’s Day on October 18 and 19, 2022. The event saw the presence of Vrinda Sarup, Member of the Managing Committee, DPS Gurgaon, and Meeta Rai, Founder Principal of DPS Indirapuram on October 18, 2022. The celebration was opened by the chief guests, Ravi Jaipuria and Dhara Jaipuria, patrons of DPS Gurgaon, and Devyani Jaipuria, pro-vice chairperson on October 19, 2022. Students of primary wing sang a beautiful rendition of the shloka, "Vakaratunda Mahakaya" to invoke the blessings of Lord Ganesha. The school choir also performed a motivational song in fusion style. The Mahabharata served as the inspiration for the dance performance 'Abhimanyu-Today'.

Delhi Public School, Sec 45, Gurgaon recently hosted the yearly ‘Daan Utsav’ and Charity Sale on October 14,2022. The DPS family donates uncooked vegetables for the Daan Utsav and usable things for the charity sale. Community cooking is a part of Daan Utsav for the Shiksha Kendra kids. With the assistance of the cafeteria staff, morning school students make hot meals and serve the cooked food. The families of the Shikha Kendra children can purchase reusable items like clothing, bags, and shoes at the charity sale for affordable costs.

The presentation of dance drama, 'Abhimanyu- Today', at the founder's day celebration was created and conceptualised by Director Principal, Aditi Misra and illustrated the struggles and insecurities that today's students face in the classroom.
