Eligibility Criteria for Telangana Inter Admission 2026

To apply for the General and Vocational streams, students are required to satisfy the following criteria:

• Students must have passed the Class 10 examination recognised by the board.

• Admissions are strictly based on the Grade Point Average(GPA) and subject-wise Grade Point(GP) achieved in the qualifying exam.

• Junior colleges are strictly prohibited from conducting any admission test for Telangana Board Inter admission 2026.

• Admission is only confirmed after the submission of original SSC pass certificates and Transfer Certificates from the previous class.

Telangana Inter Admission Fee Structure 2026

The government colleges are affordable, whereas the private unaided colleges follow a structure regulated by the official board. The application and admission fees are dependent on the college type. The board provides a different fee structure for the specialised residential colleges for the admission process.

Step-by-Step Registration Process for Telangana Inter Admission 2026

To successfully get admission in a Telangana Junior College, students must go through both online and offline procedures. Students are advised to verify the college’s affiliation status on the official website of the board, i.e. www.tgbie.cgg.gov.in or www.acadtqbie.telangana.gov.in, before applying for any college.

• Visit the chosen college campus on May 8, 2026, to pick up the physical application form and prospectus.

• Fill all the necessary details such as the SSC GPA, stream choice and Aadhaar number, which is mandatory for all students.

• Attach the SSC Internet marks memo and Transfer Certificate. Along with that, a mandatory anti-drug affidavit signed by both parents and students should be attached.

• Pay the required fee to the college counter while submitting the application form.

• After receiving the original SSC pass certificate, students must submit it to the college so that their admission status can be updated on the TGBIE student portal.

TS Inter Admission Reservation Policy 2026

The Telangana Board has directed the principals of the colleges to follow the rule of TS Inter admission reservation policy mentioned below:

• SC/ST: 15% and 10% respectively

• BC Categories: 29% (Divided into A, B, C, D, & E groups)

• EWS: 10% reservation for Economically Weaker Sections

• Special Categories: PH (5%), NCC/Sports(5%) and Children of Ex-Servicemen(30%)

• Women's Reservation: 33.3% of seats in each category are reserved for girls wherever there are no separate colleges for them.

Important Guidelines for Telangana Inter Admission 2026

Some special guidelines have been given to all the principals for the Telangana Inter admission process 2026:

• All the principals are directed to ensure security arrangements for girl students.

• The principals are also directed to display daily vacant and filled seats at the college entrance.

• Admissions for foreign students must follow the Immigration and Foreign Act 2025, with colleges required to notify local police stations within 24 hours of admission.

• The Board has also made a progressive move by instructing all the principals to use the Mother’s name instead of the father’s name for children of Joginis, as per their qualifying records.
