To complete the application process for the Uttar Pradesh Post Matric scholarship 2025-26, the candidates will have to mandatorily complete the One-Time Registration (OTR). By completing the OTR process, the candidates will be able to generate their OTR ID, which will further help them to log in to the online portal and check their UP scholarship status. On the homepage, scroll down and click on the ‘OTR’ option.
Now, fill in the details, including name, date of birth, mobile number, and email address.
Enter the mobile number linked with the Aadhaar card and complete the OTP verification.
Submit the details and generate the OTR ID. Make sure to keep it safe for future use.
The candidates who are going to apply for the UP Post Matric scholarship 2025-26 for the first time will have to click on the link for ‘Fresh Candidates’. Follow the steps mentioned below to complete the application process.
To start the application process, the candidates will have to open the online portal of UP Scholarship at scholarship.up.gov.in.
On the homepage, the candidates will have to click on the ‘Fresh Candidate’ option under the ‘Student’ section.
Log in using OTR ID and password.
Now, the candidates will have to fill in their personal details and documents, like a scanned copy of a recent photograph, an income certificate, and other details.
Candidates need to provide their bank details, income details, caste certificate, education documents, and fee details of the current institution.
Make sure to cross-check all the details, submit the form on the portal and download the form for future reference.
The candidates must fulfil the eligibility criteria set by the government of Uttar Pradesh.

Annual income of the General/OBC/Minority category must be less than Rs 2 Lakh
The annual income of the scheduled caste and scheduled tribe must be less than Rs 2.5 Lakh.
Students outside Uttar Pradesh: The students who belong to the SC/ST/General category who are permanent residents of Uttar Pradesh and are studying in the government or recognised educational institutions in other states are also eligible for the scholarship.
The UP post-matric scholarship amount for General/SC/SC category can range from Rs 2,500 per year to Rs 7,000 per year for the day scholars, and for the hostlers, the scholarship amount ranges from Rs 4,000 per year to Rs 13,500. For the OBC and minority categories, the scholarship amount ranges from Rs 230 per month to Rs 550 per month.
