SoSE Delhi School Admission Eligibility Criteria 2025: Requirements & Guidelines

The Schools of Specialised Excellence will publish the SoSE application form in December 2024. Students can visit the official website, edudel.nic.in to learn in detail about the SoSE Delhi school admission eligibility criteria 2025. Admission to SoSE Delhi School is for students who are residents of the NCT of Delhi. Students need valid address proof to show they are Delhi residents. Below, we have provided the domain-wise SoSE eligibility criteria 2025 required for admission.

SoSE Delhi School Eligibility Criteria for HE21

The High-End 21st Century Skills SoSE Delhi School offers admission in Class 9 only. Students are selected based on a two-step aptitude assessment, i.e., written examination and project work and interview. Check out the eligibility criteria for admission to HE21 SoSE Delhi School below.

• Students must complete the age of 13 years but less than 15 years by March 31, 2025.

• Regular students currently studying in class 8 from a recognised school in Delhi are also eligible to apply for admission irrespective of age.

• At least 50% of the students admitted to Ambedkar SOSEs will be from Government or Govt. aided schools.

SoSE Delhi School Eligibility Criteria for Humanities

For admission to SoSE Delhi School Humanities, the selection is done through a two-stage aptitude assessment. Students must pass the written test first, in order to be able to participate in second stage, i.e., group discussion.

• Admission to Humanities at SoSE Delhi school is open for Class 9 and Class 11 students.

• Students enrolled in Class 9 or 11 in the current academic year are ineligible for admission.

• For admission to Class 9, students must be between the age group of 13 to 15 by March 31, 2025.

• For class 11, students must be at least 15 years of age or a maximum of 17 years old.

• Regular students who are currently enrolled in Class 8 or passed Class 10 from a recognised school in Delhi can apply for admission to Class 9 or 11, respectively.

SoSE Delhi School Eligibility Criteria for PVA

The SoSE Delhi School Performing and Visual Arts admission process includes two rounds, written test and auditions. Students who will pass the written test will be eligible for auditions.

• Admissions at PVA is open for Class 9 students only.

• Students must be 13 to 15 years old as of March 31, 2025.

• They must be resident of Delhi.

• Regular students who are currently studying in Class 8 from a recognized Delhi school can apply for SoSE Delhi school PVA admission.

SoSE Delhi School Eligibility Criteria for STEM

Admission to STEM is based on the candidates’ performance in the written test.

• For class 9 entrance examination, the school will cover the class 8 syllabus.

• For admission in Class 11, the school will cover Class 10 syllabus.

• Students must be of age 13 to 15 year old for admission to class 9, while for class 11, they must complete at least 15 years or a maximum of 17 years of age.

• There will be no negative marking.

• The aptitude test will cover mental ability, mathematics and science subjects. Students must pass the entrance examination to be eligible for admission to SoSE Delhi school.

SoSE Delhi School Eligibility Criteria for AFPS

The selection process for admission to Armed Forces Preparatory School will include a written examination followed by physicals, personal interviews and medical screening.

• The minimum age for admission to SoSE Delhi School AFPS is 13 years, while the maximum age for admission is 15 years.

• To pass the SoSE Delhi School AFPS first round, candidate must score a minimum of 25% marks in each section of the written examination and 40% aggregate marks.

• In the second round, students must score 50% marks in the physical fitness test to be eligible for admission.

• To pass the medical round, students must be eligible in the following criteria:
  Height: Minimum 152 cm for girls and 157 cm for boys.
  Weight: as per height and the medical standards specified.
  Eyesight: Distance vision must be 6/6 in the better eye and 6/9 in the worse eye. Myopia and hypermetropia should not be more than 2.0 D including astigmatism.

• Students must not have any tattoos on the body, it will lead to rejection.

• Flat foot, knock knees and colour blindness are not acceptable in AFPS.
