The Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) conducted the HSLC examination from February 10 to 27, 2026, for the academic year 2025-26. Assam HSLC Grading System 2026
Students who score less than 30 marks in the examination will be considered to have failed. The grading system has A1 as the highest grade, which ranges from 91 to 100 marks, and the lowest grade is F, which is a fail, and marks range from 0-29.

The Assam board offers a second chance to students who fail in the main examination. In case a student does not pass in one or three subjects, they can apply for the Assam HSLC compartment examination to save their academic year. The supplementary exam is generally conducted in May 2026.
