The Assam HSLC examination is conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA). To pass the exam, students must score the minimum required marks, i.e., 30% out of 100 marks in each subject and overall aggregate score. The exam will consist of theory and practical papers. The written exam for all the main subjects including English, Mathematics, Science, and Social Science will be held for 90 marks, while the remaining 10 marks will be assigned for practicals or internal assessment.

The SEBA board uses a grading system to evaluate student’s performance. Students must analyse the exam pattern and syllabus to score passing marks in the exam. The HSLC exams commenced on February 15 and will conclude on March 3, 2025. It is expected that the Assam board will release the Assam HSLC result 2025 in the third week of April 2025. The Assam HSLC exam will be held for a total of 100 marks. To pass the exam, they must score a minimum of 30% marks in each subject. Below, we have provided a table with the list of subjects, their theory and practical marks along with their Assam HSLC passing marks 2025.

The Assam board offers a second chance to students who fail in the main examination. In case a student does not pass in one or three subjects, they can apply for the Assam HSLC compartment examination to save their academic year.
The Assam HSLC compartment exam will be held in June 2025, tentatively.
The board is expected to announce the compartment result in July 2025 through the official website, resultsassam.nic.in or site.sebaonline.org.
