The Ministry of Minority Affairs (MOMA) of the Government of India will release the notification and application dates in July 2025. MOMA offers scholarships to eligible students from various minority communities: Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, Jains, and Parsis. Under the MOMA Scholarships plan, the government distributes 30 lakhs Pre-Matric Scholarships, 5 lakhs Post-Matric Scholarships, and around 60,000 Merit-Cum-Means Scholarships. Merit-cum-means MOMA Scholarship for Professional and Technical Courses 2025

This scholarship is specifically for students from minority communities pursuing technical or professional courses at the undergraduate or postgraduate level. It supports meritorious students who come from economically weaker sections by providing them with financial assistance to cover tuition fees, maintenance allowance, and other necessary expenses.

• Must be a resident of India.

• Open to students in classes 1 to 10.

• The family income of both mother and father should not exceed Rs 2.5 lakh per year.

Begum Hazrat Mahal National Scholarship 2025

The Begum Hazrat Mahal National Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship that aims to promote education among minority communities, especially girl students. It provides financial assistance to meritorious girl students from minority communities pursuing higher education at various levels.

The Amount & Benefits

Eligibility Criteria:

• Female students from the following minority communities: Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains, and Parsis.

• Must be in grades 9-12 with at least 50% marks or equivalent in the previous exam.

• Parent/guardian's annual income must not exceed ₹2.00 lakh.

• Required from a State/UT Government authority.

• Self-certified for students 18 or older; certified by parent/guardian for those younger.

• Violation of school rules or scholarship terms may result in suspension or cancellation.

• Scholarships obtained through false statements will be cancelled, and funds recovered.

• Cannot receive benefits from any other similar scheme.

• Only one Central Government scholarship is allowed per student for SC/ST/OBC/minorities.

• A maximum of two students per family in the same class can receive the scholarship.

• Scholarships do not cover studies abroad.

• No charges for online applications or related services.

• Scholarship will be credited only to Aadhaar-linked bank accounts.

How to Apply for a MOMA Scholarship?
