Hello Munish,

Yes, it's possible to see discrepancies where lower percentile candidates have higher ranks in exams like INI CET, though it may seem unusual at first. Here’s why this might happen:

  1. Tie-Breaker Mechanism: When multiple candidates have the same percentile or score, the rank is often determined by tie-breaking rules. These rules can involve factors like age, marks in individual sections, or even the candidate's performance in specific subjects. As a result, candidates with the same percentile might have different ranks due to these secondary factors.

  2. Category-Based Rankings: INI CET ranks can differ based on the candidate's category (General, OBC, SC, etc.). For example, a candidate in the SC or OBC category might have a higher rank than someone in the General category, even if their percentile is lower. The percentile for category-based reservations might differ as well.

  3. Percentile vs. Rank: A percentile indicates how a candidate performed relative to others, but rank depends on the number of candidates in each percentile band. Some percentile ranges could have fewer candidates, leading to a higher rank for those with slightly lower percentiles.

If you're analyzing results and see such discrepancies, it's likely due to these mechanisms. If you believe there is a mistake, it's a good idea to contact the examination authorities for clarification or review.

Thank you and wishing you all the best for your bright future.

Hello

Here's INI CET category guideline

It is likely that the OBC-MCL certificate issued after the specified date may cause some issues , as the prospectus clearly mentions the requirement for the certificate to be issued between 1 April 2024 and 10 November 2024 .

However, this situation could be subject to interpretation and there might be some flexibility in exceptional cases .

Thank you

Hello Nikita,

With a rank of 52 in the INICET MDS November 2024, you have a promising chance of securing a seat, particularly in highly regarded institutions. Here are some key points to consider:

  1. Past Cutoffs : Analyzing previous years' cutoffs for MDS courses shows that top ranks typically secure seats in reputable institutions, such as AIIMS New Delhi and JIPMER.

  2. Seat Availability : The allocation depends on the seat matrix, which may vary by the number of seats and the category under which you apply.

  3. Institution Preferences : Prioritize participation in all counseling rounds, as seats often become available as higher-ranked candidates finalize their choices.

  4. Backup Planning : Consider options at newer or less competitive AIIMS campuses for better chances.

This combination should give you a clear pathway toward securing a spot in an esteemed dental institution.

Hello,

Based on recent and past INICET data, securing a rank of 9272 in the general category places you at a competitive level but may be challenging for gaining a spot in high-demand specialties like radiation oncology in top AIIMS institutions during spot allotment. In previous years, cutoffs for general category seats in MD/MS courses often required ranks below 3500 to 7500 for more sought-after specializations.

However, availability can vary significantly during spot allotment based on factors like seat surrender and changes in candidate preferences.

While ranks up to 9000+ could potentially secure seats in certain less competitive institutions or programs, a precise prediction for radiation oncology requires checking specific cutoff trends for each AIIMS or participating institution from recent spot rounds.

It's recommended to keep an eye on the ongoing seat matrix updates and spot round notifications for more clarity.

As per the National Medical Council (NMC), 594 MD Radiation Oncology PG seats are spread out in different states of India.usually the seats gets filled by inicet upto rank 5k in different institute but if there is any seat vacant you can get spot admission.

Fir spot admission youu may need to attend counseling at the institution and bring certain documents, such as your class 10 and 12 certificates, passport-size photo, and admit card.

You can get admission details here

Hello,

Based on previous year's cutoffs for INICET (Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test) and the clinical fields, here's an analysis for a candidate with an All India Rank (AIR) of 5574 under the OBC category:

  1. Rank Analysis : In general, for clinical specialties, the cutoffs tend to be higher due to competition and preference. For OBC candidates, the rank cutoffs are generally 10-20% lower than for General category candidates.

  2. Clinical Specialties : In the clinical field (such as Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, etc.), OBC candidates may get opportunities in lower-demand specialties or institutes with relatively lower competition.

  3. Previous Year Trends : In the past, OBC ranks around 5000-6000 have found opportunities in less popular clinical specialties in government institutions, especially in Tier 2/3 cities. Top institutes like AIIMS, PGI, or JIPMER may be difficult to secure with this rank.

  4. Strategy : Candidates in this rank may explore counseling options and look for clinical fields in institutes with relatively lower cutoffs for OBC.

You can use the college predictor to predict whether you can get college or not based on you rank or score: https://medicine.careers360.com/ini-cet-college-predictor

Hello Bhavya,

For the INICET November 2024 , they typically require an OBC-NCL certificate issued on or after April 1, 2024 . If you submit your old certificate from December 2023 , it may not be accepted because they have strict guidelines regarding the validity period of the OBC certificate.

Here’s what you can do:

  1. Use a Provisional Certificate : If your new certificate is in process, some authorities allow you to submit a provisional certificate or a receipt showing that the certificate application is underway.

  2. Contact the Authorities : Reach out to the AIIMS exam conducting body to explain your situation. They may guide you on any alternative documents you can submit temporarily.

  3. Submit the Correct Certificate Later : If they allow, you might be able to submit the older certificate now and update your details with the valid certificate before the counseling or final admission process.

It's safer to confirm with AIIMS authorities to avoid any issues later.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you and wishing you all the best for your bright future.

Hello,

No, if you have already done the simple registration for INI-CET in May 2023. Then there is no requirement for re-registration again for INI-CET in November. General registration is valid for multiple sessions. Once you have done general registration, then one can use that for any number of times of INI-CET exams he might take in later future. But to appear for this November exam you would also require doing the final registration but along with some more details and your exam fee too.

Then I check on the official website or the information bulletin for some specific updates or changes in the process of registration.
