Applying for HBSE: Rechecking or Revaluation?

Students might be unsure whether to apply for rechecking or revaluation. We will clarify the distinctions between these processes, which are generally similar across most boards.

The BSEH also offers two distinct post-result services for students seeking a review of their HBSE Class 10 examination results: Rechecking and Re-evaluation.

  • Rechecking is a process that involves verifying the total marks awarded and ensuring that all answers have been evaluated. Rechecking means they just count the marks again to make sure there were no totalling errors. They don't look at the answers again. Also, they can only do this if they can find their original answer sheet.

  • Re-evaluation, however, means the entire answer sheet for theory subjects will be looked at again and graded fresh. This doesn't apply to the marks in internal tests or practical exams.

How to Apply for HBSE Revaluation/Rechecking 2025?

  1. Visit the official HBSE website at bseh.org.in.

  2. Navigate to the “Online Services” section.

  3. Select the appropriate link for Rechecking or Re-evaluation.

  4. Fill in the required details, including Roll Number and Subject(s), apply for the option, and the captcha code.

Dear Nishant,
It would be very hard to say which board is tough or easy. But if you go for CBSE board, you would be better placed as the syllabus is common throughout the country. Moreover, the maths and science syllabus of the CBSE board is in sync with competitive examinations.
But if your focus is more towards state entrances, the state board would be better as it will cover the maximum syllabus of the exam.

I hope this information helps you

All the best
