CBSE Class 11 English Syllabus 2025-26 Marking Scheme

Students must note that the English theory paper will consist of 80 marks, while 20 marks are reserved for the internal assessment. Internal assessment comprises of assessment of listening skills, speaking skills, and project work.

Internal assessment will be for 20 marks. It is recommended by the CBSE board that listening and speaking skills must be regularly practised in class. The marks break-up for internal assessment is as follows:

• Assessment of Listening Skills - 05 marks
• Assessment of Speaking Skills - 05 marks
• Project Work - 10 marks
