The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced the dates for the CBSE Scholarship for Single Girl Child 2025 and the renewal process for the scheme. The last date to apply for the CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship is October 23, 2025. Students who qualified in the CBSE Class 10 result and are studying in Class 11 or 12 at a CBSE-affiliated school are eligible to apply for the Single Girl Child Scheme. They can complete the registration process online through the official CBSE scholarship portal at cbse.gov.in.

After the completion of the application process by students, the school will verify the application. If the details are correct, the school will complete the further processing of the application and the status will be visible on the applicant dashboard. The Single Girl Child Scholarship CBSE will be provided to only eligible students. The scholarship is valid for students who are only one girl child of their parents and who fulfil other eligibility criteria:

  • She must be the only child of her parents.
  • She must score 60% or more marks in the CBSE class 10 exams.
  • They should be studying in class 11 or 12 in a school affiliated with CBSE, whose tuition fee is not more than Rs 1,500/- p.m. during the academic year.
  • In the coming two years, the fee should not be more than 10% of the tuition fee charged.
  • The girl child must be a citizen of India.
  • CBSE board NRI applicants are also eligible for the award. The tuition fee for NRI students must not exceed Rs. 6,000/- per month.
  • Students can take other concessions given by schools along with this scholarship.

For Renewal

  • The candidate must have received the scholarship last year.
  • Attendance and good behaviour are required for the continuation of the scholarship.
  • A scholarship cancelled will not be renewed.
  • The tuition fee for class 10 should not be more than Rs. 1,500/- p.m. during the academic year.
  • In the coming two years, the fee should not be more than 10% of the tuition fee charged.
  • CBSE will review the application and students must secure at least 50% marks in class 11 and promoted to class 12.
