About Karnataka SSLC Board 2025

The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) conducts the Karnataka Secondary School Leaving Certificate Examination. It is commonly known as the Karnataka SSLC exam for Class 10 students. The exams are conducted at the state level in three languages and three core subjects including Science, Social Science, and Mathematics. Every year, around 8.5 lakh students appear in the Karnataka SSLC exam.

Karnataka SSLC eligibility criteria 2025 are a set of parameters that students should meet to appear in the examination. So, they should check the eligibility criteria of Karnataka 10th class exam 2025 clearly.

Karnataka SSLC Eligibility for Regular Students:

  • Students must have completed their class IX from an affiliated school. 
  • Candidate must have at least 75% attendance and must send his or her application through a recognised school in which he/she has studied.
  • Candidates must have satisfactory progress and good conduct duly certified by the head of the institution.

Karnataka SSLC Eligibility for Ex-school Students:

  • Ex-school candidates must have themselves registered as ex-school candidates in a recognised school after the payment of the prescribed fee.
  • Students who do not pass the exam in the first appearance shall finish the SSLC exam within 6 consecutive attempts including the 1st attempt. So, the students shall re-appear for the entire exam of all subjects as fresh private candidate.

Karnataka SSLC Eligibility for Private Students

  • The candidate must have completed 18 years as of April 1, 2025, if the examination is held in April and June 1, 2025 if the examination is conducted in September.
  • The candidate must have passed the primary VII examination conducted by the authority of the Department of public instruction or an examination equivalent to the same.

The application form for Karnataka SSLC 2025 must be submitted through a school affiliated with KSEAB. To appear for the Karnataka class 10/SSLC exam 2025, all students need to submit their application form with the help of the concerned school institution. 

  • Students have to fill out and submit the Karnataka SSLC application form to the head of the institution.
  • Attach three duly attested passport-sized photographs along with the forms.
  • Private candidates can apply to the exam through any recognized institution.
  • Also, submit the date of birth certificate to complete the Karnataka SSLC registration.
  • Students have to pay their application fees through the demand draft. 
  • The fee for regular candidates is Rs 354 while it is Rs 185 for private candidates. Fee detail is based on the previous year, it will be updated after the release of official notification.
