The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) officially released the CBSE syllabus 2025-26 for Class 10. There is no separate CBSE 10th pre-board syllabus; the pre-board syllabus is the same as that of the final Class 10 board exam. Schools will conduct the CBSE 10th pre-board exams from November 1 to 10, 2025; November 29 to December 8, 2025; and January 3 to 12, 2026, for exams I, II, and III, respectively.

The CBSE pre-board exams for Class 10 will be conducted based on the same pattern as the board exam and the CBSE 10th syllabus. The board released the CBSE 10th pre-board syllabus on the official website at cbse.gov.in. Detailed CBSE 10th Pre-board Syllabus 2026

The CBSE Class 10 exams follow competency-based questions, which account for 50% of the marks and include MCQs, case-based, and source-based items. Additionally, 20% of the paper contains multiple-choice questions (MCQs), while the remaining 30% consists of short- and long-answer questions.
