Class 12 students enrolled in CBSE-affiliated schools will have to attempt pre-board exams 2026 from November 1 to 10, 2025; November 29 to December 8, 2025; and January 3 to 12, 2026, for I, II, and III, respectively. Most private schools will administer the exams according to their schedule during these months. For government and government-aided schools, the Central Board of Secondary Education may specify CBSE pre-exam dates. These Class 12 pre-board exams cover 100% of the syllabus. No, there is no separate syllabus for CBSE Class 12 pre-boards. Schools conduct these exams strictly on the basis of the full Class 12 CBSE syllabus prescribed for 2026.
Most CBSE affiliated schools hold two rounds of pre-board exams - one in November/December and another in January. However, a few schools may conduct only one set of pre-boards before the final exams.
No, marks obtained in CBSE 12th pre-boards are not added to the final CBSE board result. These exams are meant to help students assess their preparation levels and identify areas where improvement is needed.
