CBSE Pre Board Exam 2025-26 Class 12 Syllabus - Download PDF (Subject Wise)
Class 12 students enrolled in CBSE-affiliated schools will have to attempt pre-board exams 2026 from November 1 to 10, 2025; November 29 to December 8, 2025; and January 3 to 12, 2026, for I, II, and III, respectively. Most private schools will administer the exams according to their schedule during these months. For government and government-aided schools, the Central Board of Secondary Education may specify CBSE pre-exam dates. These Class 12 pre-board exams cover 100% of the syllabus. Section A – Reading Skills (22 Marks)
One unseen passage to assess comprehension, interpretation, analysis and inference. Vocabulary assessment will also be assessed via inference. The passage may be factual, descriptive or literary.
One unseen case-based factual passage with verbal/visual inputs like statistical data, charts, etc., to assess comprehension, interpretation, analysis, inference and evaluation.
Section B – Creative Writing Skills (18 Marks)
Notice, up to 50 words. One out of the two given questions is to be answered.
Formal/Informal Invitation and Reply, up to 50 words. One out of the two given questions is to be answered.
Letters based on verbal/visual input, to be answered in approximately 120-150 words. Letter types include an application for a job with a bio data or resume. Letters to the editor (giving suggestions or opinions on issues of public interest). One out of the two given questions is to be answered.
