People sacrificed their lives fighting for the freedom of our nation, and even after countless battles and hardships, everyone came together and continued to chant slogans for that freedom. It is due to them that we are free today. A Mahotsav seeks to instil in us the value of selflessness and love for one's country by showing the exiles of freedom fighters and highlighting their devotion to the homeland.
In this way, the school children not only discover the actual meaning of freedom once they comprehend the struggle for independence, but they also develop a greater knowledge of the difficulties and triumphs of freedom fighters.
