    Introduction.

Mathematics is called the language of the universe. Because we use mathematical calculations in almost every field. Multiplication is one of the basic mathematical operations that we come across in our daily lives. The usage of the multiplication table enables us to multiply large numbers with so much ease!

Uses Of Multiplication And Tables :

Banking, economics, engineering, financing, astronomy - every field like this makes use of multiplication. We use multiplication to estimate the rate of interest in the banking sector. From drawing the plan to constructing the buildings, multiplication plays a major function. Even we need it in our daily routine and family budgeting.

Multiplication is the simplest layout of repeated addition. Repeatedly adding a number multiple times is kind of hectic. 5\times7 5×7 means five is added seven times. Instead of adding five 7 times, we can just multiply them.

Some simple rules of multiplication are given below.

    • A number multiplied by zero gives zero. For example,7\times0=0 7×0=0.

    • A number multiplied by one gives the same number. For example,9\times1=9 9×1=9.

    • The order of numbers is not a concern in multiplication. 5\times2=10 5×2=10 and likewise 2\times5=10 2×5=10. This is known as the commutative property.

Multiplication tables are so convenient to use as it gives a list of multiplying that number with consecutive natural numbers, usually one to ten. Students memorise these tables in their academics for easier calculation. They help to get better at mathematical operations, as learning these tables will upgrade your mathematical aptitude. Usually, multiples of 1,5 and 10 are the easiest to remember.
