The Table in Maths includes the first natural multiples consecutively. Tables are the first step to solving mathematical problems, quickly. It has always been observed that teachers insist students for learning tables properly. It does not depend on which grade you are in. We always have to just memorise tables according to our needs and ease. Even if we learn just one table every day, we can still make it to a long chain of memorised tables.
There are many ways and tricks to learn tables. Even, if there is not. We should still try to memorise tables anyway. Here is the way to calculate the table faster.
It is easy to calculate a multiplication table of 120. 120 has the number 12 followed by one zero.
So with the help of the 12 times table, we can quickly calculate 120 times table.
Below is the multiplication Table of 120.
Table of 12 | Add | Number of 0s | Table of 120 |
12 x 1 = 12 | + | 0 | 120 |
12 x 2 = 24 | + | 0 | 240 |
12 x 3 = 36 | + | 0 | 360 |
12 x 4 = 48 | + | 0 | 480 |
12 x 5 = 60 | + | 0 | 600 |
12 x 6 = 120 | + | 0 | 1200 |
12 x 7 = 84 | + | 0 | 840 |
12 x 8 = 96 | + | 0 | 960 |
12 x 9 = 108 | + | 0 | 1080 |
12 x 10 = 120 | + | 0 | 1200 |
Simplify 120\times13+324
Sol: = 120\times13+324
= 1560 + 324
= 1884
Solve 23+120\times12-240
Sol: = 23+120\times12-240
= 23 + 1440 – 240
= 1463 – 240
= 1223
Square of 120
Sol: = 120\times120
= 14400
Evaluate \frac{240}{120}\times3
Sol: = \frac{240}{120}\times3
= 2 \times3
= 6
Cube of 120
Sol: = 120\times120\times120
= 1728000
Times Table of 120
Times table basically represents that when a number n is added to itself ‘m’ times the result is equal to the number as “n ✖ m”, the repeated addition yields the same result as multiplication. It is shown below in the table.
Repeated Addition of 120
120 × 1 = 120 | 120 |
120 × 2 = 240 | 120+120=240 |
120 × 3 = 360 | 120+120+120=360 |
120 × 4 = 480 | 120+120+120+120=480 |
120 × 5 = 600 | 120+120+120+120+120=600 |
120 × 6 = 720 | 120+120+120+120+120+120=720 |
120 × 7 = 840 | 120+120+120+120+120+120+120=840 |
120 × 8 = 960 | 120+120+120+120+120+120+120+120=960 |
120 × 9 = 1080 | 120+120+120+120+120+120+120+120+120=1080 |
120 × 10 = 1200 | 120+120+120+120+120+120+120+120+120+120=1200 |
The Multiplication Table of 120
120 | × | 1 | = | 120 |
120 | × | 2 | = | 240 |
120 | × | 3 | = | 360 |
120 | × | 4 | = | 480 |
120 | × | 5 | = | 600 |
120 | × | 6 | = | 720 |
120 | × | 7 | = | 840 |
120 | × | 8 | = | 960 |
120 | × | 9 | = | 1080 |
120 | × | 10 | = | 1200 |
We can further make the table as long as we want, upto any number by simply multiplying the table with more numbers. Here is the table that continues up to 20 arguments.
120 | × | 11 | = | 1320 |
120 | × | 12 | = | 1440 |
120 | × | 13 | = | 1560 |
120 | × | 14 | = | 1680 |
120 | × | 15 | = | 1800 |
120 | × | 16 | = | 1920 |
120 | × | 17 | = | 2040 |
120 | × | 18 | = | 2160 |
120 | × | 19 | = | 2280 |
120 | × | 20 | = | 2400 |
No, 120 is not a Prime Number as it has more than two factors.
There are 16 factors of the number 120. The factors of 120 are 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 15, 20, 24, 30, 40, 60, and 120.

The number 120 is not a perfect square, as the square root of 120 is 10.95 which is not a whole number.
It can be calculated with two methods.
Method 1: By learning the tables, it will be quick.
Method 2: By splitting 16 into two parts, 10 and 6.
= 120\times16
= 120\times(10+6)
= (120\times10)+(120\times6)
= 1200 + 720
= 1920
