The table is a very important part of mathematics; it is used in different forms, in different ways and in different types of calculations. Its application, as mentioned, is many; therefore, its relevance and contribution become very significant. In the good olden days, a person who knew more tables was assumed to be a more intelligent and learned personality, and indirectly it was a sign of gratitude and respect towards that person. Let’s understand it in a more informative and playful manner. Great Learning!
This is one of the easiest ways to learn the 107 Table with no complexity involved. In this will, we will learn how by adding the same number multiple times, we can create a table, which turns into times that are called multiples. The below table shows how it is done. Let’s have a look. This tabular sheet contains multiples up to 10.
Additiona Table of 108
108 |
108 + 108 = 216 |
108 + 108 + 108 = 324 |
108 + 108 + 108 + 108 = 432 |
108 + 108 + 108 + 108 + 108 = 540 |
108 + 108 + 108 + 108 + 108 + 108 = 648 |
108 + 108 + 108 + 108 + 108 + 108 + 108 = 756 |
108 + 108 + 108 + 108 + 108 + 108 + 108 + 108 = 864 |
108 + 108 + 108 + 108 + 108 + 108 + 108 + 108 + 108 = 972 |
108 + 108 + 108 + 108 + 108 + 108 + 108 + 108 + 108 + 108 = 1080 |
The first 20 multiples are listed as follows:
108 x 1 = 108 |
108 x 2 = 216 |
108 x 3 = 324 |
108 x 4 = 432 |
108 x 5 = 540 |
108 x 6 = 648 |
108 x 7 = 756 |
108 x 8 = 864 |
108 x 9 = 972 |
108 x 10 = 1080 |
108 x 11 = 1188 |
108 x 12 = 1296 |
108 x 13 = 1404 |
108 x 14 = 1512 |
108 x 15 = 1620 |
108 x 16 = 1728 |
108 x 17 = 1836 |
108 x 18 = 1944 |
108 x 19 = 2052 |
108 x 20 = 2160 |
Example 1:
Which multiple of 108 is 1/6th of its 36th multiple?
Solution: Using a multiplication table of 108,
the 36th multiple of 108 is (108 x 36)= 3888
1/6th of 3888 is 648
648 is the 6th multiple of 108
Example 2:
What would be the result of multiplying 108 six times and reducing 5486 from it?
Solution: The result of multiplying 108 six times would be
108 x 108 x 108 x 108 x 108 x 108 = 1586874322944
Now, reducing 5486 from 1586874322944 would be equal to (1586874322944 – 5486) 1586874317458
Example 3:
What would be the quotient if 9612 is divided by 108?
Solution: Using the multiplication table, we need to find the nearest value of 9612, at the 89th multiple of 108 we find 9612
On dividing 9612 by 108 the quotient would be 89 [i.e 9612 / 108].
Hence, the quotient is 89
Example 4:
What is the cube of 108?
Solution: A cube of any number means multiplying the same number thrice
So, the cube of 108 is (108 x 108 x 108) 1259712
Example 5:
What is the difference between the 11th and 19th multiple of 108?
Solution: Using table 108
The 11th multiple of 108 is 1188
The 19th multiple of 108 is 2052
So, the difference is (2052 – 1188) = 864
Yes, 108 can be divided by 2.
The factor pairs of 108 are 1,2,3,4,6,9,12,18,27,36,54 and 108
Yes, adding the same number in descending order will get the result.
There can be many multiples of 108
No, 108 is an even number.
