My Experience Of Kargil Vijay Diwas Celebrations
I turned on the television as I eased into the comfort of my living room, excited to see the celebration of Kargil Vijay Diwas. The excitement filled me with a combination of feelings- pride, reverence, and appreciation.
Stories of bravery and sacrifice unfurled in front of my eyes. The documentary's snippets revealed the men fighting in tough weather, the dangerous terrain they had to travel, and their unwavering will to defeat the enemy. The broadcast also featured video from the Kargil War Memorial and the events that took place there. The sight of people paying their respects at the memorial, the walls adorned with the names of the fallen soldiers, and the wreath-laying ceremony evoked a deep sense of reverence.
As the program came to a close, the screen faded to a single candle burning brightly against a dark background – a symbol of hope and remembrance.
