How many union territories are there in India name them?

India has eight union territories. The names are as follows:

Jammu and Kashmir lost their statehood and became distinct union territories. Ladakh was separated from Jammu and Kashmir and established as a distinct union region. On January 26, 2020, the union territories of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu were formed by uniting the two independent union territories of "Daman & Diu" and "Dadra and Nagar Haveli." As a result, India now has eight union territories rather than nine.

5. Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu: According to laws issued by the Government of India, Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu formed a single union territory on January 26, 2020. The capital of this union territory is Daman. Dadra is located in Gujarat, whereas Nagar Haveli is situated between Maharashtra and Gujarat. With the hills of the Western Ghats and surrounding lush flora, it is an excellent excursion into the wild for a visitor, and its Portuguese legacy makes it well-known among history buffs.

6. Chandigarh: Chandigarh is both an Indian union territory and the joint capital of the states of Haryana and Punjab. Chandigarh's official language is English.
