Introduction

The Staff Selection Commission of India will administer the SSC CGL 2022 Exam in two stages, Tier 1 and Tier 2, in accordance with the revised exam pattern (2022). The SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam is required of all applicants. There will be three papers for the SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam, with Paper I being required for all positions, Paper II being for candidates applying for Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) positions in the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, and Paper III being for candidates applying for Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer positions. Tier 1 Exam Pattern for SSC CGL

It's crucial for applicants to understand the SSC CGL Exam pattern so they can obtain a clear idea of the types of questions that might be asked throughout the exam. The SSC CGL Tier 1 examination is an online, objective-type Computer-Based Test (CBT). Below are some quick facts concerning the SSC CGL Tier 1 exam.

  • Multiple-choice questions will be used, and there will be four possible answers from which applicants must select the one that is true.

  • Except for English Comprehension, the questions will be presented in both English and Hindi.

  • General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Comprehension are the four areas of the Tier 1 exam.

  • There is no sectional cut-off. The marks will be calculated on an aggregate basis for Tier 1.

  • For each incorrect response, 0.50 will be deducted from the final grade.

  • The SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam is a qualifying exam, and results won't be used in the final decision.

  • A total of 60 minutes must be allotted for finishing the Tier 1 exam.

Note: The candidates should be aware that questions that are not attempted incur no penalties. Instead of choosing the incorrect response, which could result in a mark deduction, it is advised that they skip the questions if they are unsure of the correct response. Candidates must meet the Tier 1 SSC CGL Cutoff in order to be shortlisted for Tier 2. The cut off is made public shortly after the exam is successfully completed.

Tier 2 Exam Pattern For SSC CGL(Revised)

There will be three phases to the SSC CGL Tier 2 exam: Paper 1, Paper 2, and Paper 3. Paper I (required for all positions), Paper II for applicants seeking Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) positions with the Ministry of Statistics and Program Implementation, and Paper III for applicants seeking Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer positions.

For each incorrect response in Section-I, Section-II, and Module-I of Section-III of Paper-I, one mark will be deducted, and for Computer, Paper-II, and Paper-III, 0.5 mark will be deducted.

Paper 2 & 3 SSC CGL Tier 2

Each question in Papers 2 and 3 is worth two marks, and an additional 0.50 points will be deducted for each incorrect response.
