Between two rational numbers, there are infinite rational numbers. Real numbers are divided into rational numbers and irrational numbers, respectively. For two integers p and q, the rational number is p/q, where q > 0. A special case arises when q-1 and rational numbers simply become integers. Therefore, all integers are rational numbers equal to p. The p/q number reflects the p:q ratio. Some examples of rational numbers are odd and even numbers, fractions and decimal numbers. All integers are also rational numbers.
A number that can be found between two rational numbers is known as a rational number between two rational numbers. There can be an infinite number of rational numbers between any two rational numbers. A rational number is a unit of the form p/q. where p and q are integers and q is not zero. A simple method can find a rational number between any two rational numbers.
1. If the denominators of the above rational numbers are different, calculate the equivalent fraction for the given rational number and then find the intermediate rational number.
2. Calculate the average of two given rational numbers.
• The first and most important step in finding a rational number between two rational numbers is to determine the value of the denominator.
• Find the numerator value if the denominators are the same.
• If the numerators are significantly different, the rational numbers can be written in single-digit increments while keeping the same denominator.
• If the difference between the numerators is less than the number of discernible rational numbers, multiply the numerator and denominator by a multiple of 10.
Determining the denominator of a rational number is the first step in finding a rational number between two rational numbers.
• If the denominators of the displayed rational numbers are the same, proceed to the next step.
• Now find a rational number whose numerator has the same denominator.
• Assume that the numerators of rational numbers are more distinct. Ratios between two rational numbers can be written by increasing the numerator and leaving the same denominator.
To find a rational number between two rational numbers with different denominators, set the denominators to be the same and use the above procedure to find the rational number.
• Take the least common multiple of the denominator and equate the real number to the least common multiple.
• Equality of denominators can be established by multiplying and dividing rational numbers by whole numbers.
• Continue to use rational numbers between two rational numbers with the same denominator after the denominators are adjusted.
