    What is the GATE exam?

    The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is a Nationwide test that can be taken and is offered in eight different locations. The GATE Committee, academics from IISc, and seven other IITs are relied upon by the Ministry of Human Resources Development, the National Coordinating Board, and the Department of Education to administer the exam. The GATE exam is used to determine how well-versed pupils are in engineering

    Papers in GATE Exam-

    Since 2022, GATE Exams have been offered in 29 subjects. The number of GATE papers has increased to 29 with the introduction of two new papers, GE (Geomatics Engineering) and NM (Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering). Environmental Science and Engineering (ES) and Humanities and Social Sciences (XS) together accounted for 27 subjects in 2020. Now, you can only select one or two papers from the 29 available

    The GATE test consists of 29 different disciplines in total. 2 new subjects have recently joined the GATE family, increasing the total from the previous 27 to 29.

    If a candidate plans to take the GATE Exam, they can select any subject, depending on their area of interest and intended field of study. The list of subjects together with their codes is below:
