● Leap year (366 days)
A leap year is a year that contains an extra day, February 29th, to keep the calendar year synchronized with the astronomical or seasonal year. The Gregorian calendar, which is the most widely used calendar system in the world, defines a leap year as a year that is exactly divisible by 4, except for years that are divisible by 100 but not by 400. For example, the year 2000 was a leap year because it was divisible by 4 and 400, but the year 1900 was not a leap year because it was divisible by 4 and 100, but not by 400. Leap years are necessary because the time it takes for the Earth to complete one orbit around the sun is actually about 365.24 days, which means that a calendar year of 365 days would fall behind the astronomical year by about a quarter of a day each year. Without the addition of a leap day every four years, the calendar year would eventually drift out of sync with the astronomical year, causing the seasons to shift over time.
● Non Leap Year
There are three hundred and sixty five days in a Non-Leap year. Due to the fact that a leap year only occurs every four years, the previous years were all non-solar years with only 365 days. Every four years, there is a solar year; the previous years have all been non-solar years with only 360 days.
The day is the time interval taken by the earth to complete one revolution about its own axis. The earth rotates constantly on its axis. In fact, the planet rotates on its own axis from west to east. The earth will take 24 hours to complete one revolution about its own axis. We can calculate the duration of a day by measuring the time interval taken by the sun to reach the loftiest point of the sky twice. 1 day = 24 hrs. We know that one hour is equal to 60 minutes, and one minute is equal to 60 second.1 day = 24 x 60 min = 1440 min ,1 day = 1440 x 60 sec = 86400 sec. The side of the earth that faces the sun will admit the sun and experience the day. The contrary side of the earth facing the sun won't admit any sun. Hence, this contrary side of the earth will witness night. But as the earth rotates about its own axis, the side of the earth that faces the sun changes, and the opposite side of the earth will admit the sun now. thus, if one side of the earth is passing day, also the contrary side will witness night. Countries like India and the USA taradiddle on the contrary side of the globe. So, if it's day in India, also it'll be night in the USA.

The synodic lunar months ("llunations"), which had durations similar to 29.53 days, are where the traditional conception first emerged. Researchers have discovered that individuals began keeping track of days in relation to the phases of the moon as early as the Paleolithic era via shovelled census sticks. Synodic months, which are still the foundation of many schedules today and are used to divide the time, are based on the Moon's orbital period with regard to the Earth-Sun line.
A week is made up of seven days, while a year is made up of 52 weeks. A year is made up of 12 months, 365 days, and a leap year is made up of 366 days.
