Introduction

A candidate can appear any number of times in the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission Exam (MPPSC) but there is an age limit set by the commission which means general category candidates can apply till the age of 40 years and Reserved Category candidates can apply till the age of 45 years. Women Candidates of any category can apply up to the age of 45 years.

What is The MPPSC Exam?

MPPSC Exam is conducted by Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission for the recruitment of qualified candidates for various posts in government departments and offices in the state of Madhya Pradesh. The exam takes place annually once a year. All the candidates who are graduates or are in the final year of their graduation are eligible for this state exam. The candidate must be between 21 to 40 years of age for the general category and the upper age limit for Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward Castes increased to 45 years old. Students residing outside Madhya Pradesh state are also eligible for this competitive exam but they will be treated as general category candidates.

Like UPSC, Madhya Pradesh public service commission (MPPSC) exam pattern is also divided into three major parts i.e prelims, mains, and interviews.

The Duration of each exam at the preliminary level is 2 hours and in Mains level, every paper is of 3 hours expect Hindi Essay which is 2 hours. Every Candidate must clear the stage to get qualified for the next Exam. Similar to UPSC, the marks obtained in the MPPSC preliminary exam will not be considered in the final merit list.

The syllabus for the MPPSC Prelims exam is as follows:

General Studies - Objective

  2. Current Events of National & International Importance.

  3. History of India and Independent India.

  4. Indian Polity and Economy.

  5. Sports

  6. Geography History and Culture of M.P.

  7. Polity and Economy of M.P.

  8. Information and Communication Technology.

General Aptitude Test

  1. Comprehension Interpersonal skills including communication skills.

  2. Logical reasoning and analytical ability.

  3. Decision making and problem-solving.

  4. General mental ability.

  5. Basic numeracy.

  6. Hindi Language Comprehension Skill (Class X level).
