sir i selected NTSE final selections EWS category.but i applied obc certificate .i am also selected in level 1 in OBC category..is there any technical mistake??is there any right to fight legally? i am belongs to Ap srate .

Shja 1st Aug, 2021

Dear aspirant,

It's unfortunate that you're forced to go through this problem. As it seems, there must be a typing error in the result sheet where your name got printed both in the EWS and OBC sections. I would suggest you to not worry. If you applied for the OBC option during the registration of NTSE Stage-I, then keep your name under the OBC category as your reference and ignore your name printed in the EWS category. Also, I would like to congratulate you for clearing Stage 1 of NTSE.

Hope this helps!

Good Luck!

I am written Ntse exam in 27 December 2020.I got 83 marks in ntse stage. I am OBC category.Shall i selected for scholarship ?

Anurag Khanna 18th Jul, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

Since you have not mentioned the name of your state so it is quite difficult to guide you with an accurate information but if we go through your profile then it shows that you belongs to Tamil Nadu, if not then please mention the correct one in comment section below.

See on such score you can easily qualify NTSE stage 1 but no chances of being shortlisted for stage 2 because the expected cut-off for shortlisting of candidate for stage 2 from Tamil Nadu is 150-155 for OBC category.

NTSE Tamil Nadu expected cut-off for 2021 :-

Category

Cutoff

General

155-165

OBC

150-155

SC

135-140

ST 85-95
EWS 140-150

So it shows that you have almost no chances to be qualified for stage 2 but still we have to wait because the cut-off mentioned above is only the expected cut-off.

Cut off depends upon various factors such as the difficulty level of stage 1 exam, Tamil Nadu State quota, number of students appeared in the stage 1 exam, last year's NTSE Tamil Nadu cutoff and so on.

You can also check out complete details about the expected cut-offs for NTSE MP 2021 from the link given below :-

I hope this information helps you.

Good Luck!!

my name has came in the merit list of ntse yesterday now they are asking to submit the ews certificate my doubt is since EWS certificate is valid for only 1 year then does we have to submit the new ews certificate or the older one which we have submitted at the time of filling the form of NTS

Bhavesh gupta 18th Jul, 2021

hello Ayush

i hope you are doing great and fine.

With reference to your query , I would like to say you that ews certificate is valid from finanical year which is generally starts in 1st april and ends in next year on 30th march . So you have to check the finanical year of form applying and financial year in which merit list come ,if same then you can go with same certificate else you have to apply again for it

Hope you found this answer helpful. Good luck for your future
