Does CBSE 11th Have Board Exam?
CBSE Class 11 is the first step towards students’ academic journey that shapes their future and career paths. It is more in-depth and acts as a base for the CBSE Class 12 board examination. Students get the option of choosing any stream, including Science, Commerce and Arts as per their interest. However, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) does not conduct board examinations for class 11 students. The CBSE 11th exam is conducted internally by respective schools. It is the responsibility of schools to release CBSE Class 11 date sheet and prepare question papers for the examination.

CBSE-affiliated schools conduct the CBSE Class 11 examination based on the CBSE curriculum. Unlike CBSE Class 10 and 12, the board does not conduct centralised board examinations for class 11 students. But it is equally important and students must pay attention in every class. The schools are responsible for designing their own question papers based on the CBSE syllabus. Faculty members and teachers are responsible for checking the paper releasing the CBSE 11th result after the examination.

The CBSE class 11 exam dates are released through respective schools. Students can contact their schools for a detailed date sheet. The majority of schools released the CBSE 11th date sheet in January 2025 and started conducting the exam before the 12th board examination. The board releases the CBSE class 11 syllabus online in a PDF format. It is based on NCERT textbooks. Students can download the CBSE class 11 exam pattern and syllabus through the official website, cbseacademic.nic.in. To pass the examination, they must score a minimum of 33% out of 100 in aggregate and each subject separately.
