The Central Board of Secondary Education has released the CBSE 10th exam date 2024 on the official website, cbse.gov.in. This year, CBSE 10th exam will be held from February 15 to March 13, 2024. CBSE released the CBSE date sheet 2024 Class 10 PDF on December 12, 2023. Students preparing for the CBSE exam can download the date sheet of class 10 through the official website.

CBSE Date Sheet 2024 Class 10 Twice a Year

The National Curriculum Framework for School Education (NCF) 2023, released by the education ministry has proposed holding board exams twice a year. The motive is to make board exams easier and the final marks will be based on cumulative results. The board will keep the best score of the students as the final score from board exam 2024.

NCF said, “The current system of study in annual and two-year patterns should move to a semester and/or annual design. This would allow for greater flexibility in the design of courses as well as course options for students".

CBSE Special Provision for Sports Students Who Miss CBSE 10th Class Exam

CBSE has integrated health and physical education into the secondary and senior secondary curricula by implementing a compulsory daily period dedicated to sports, games, and related activities. CBSE provides the facility of special examinations for students engaged in National/International sports events and those participating in International olympiads. This provision is extended to students whose CBSE Board examinations coincide with the dates of these events, encompassing both the event days and the travel dates for the Board exams in 2024. The Schools wanting the board to conduct special exams for their students are required to send applications to the concerned regional office with the recommendation of the Sports Authority of India and Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education respectively by December 31.

The eligibility age criteria for class 10th CBSE is 14 years of age. Since your son will be 15 years of age in 2024, he will be eligible to give the exam.

That totally depends on what you are aiming for. The replacement of marks of additional subjects and the main subject is not like you will get the marks of IT on your Hindi section. It runs like when you calculate your total percentage you have got, you can replace your lowest marks of the main subjects from the marks of the additional subject since CBSE schools goes for the best five marks for the calculation of final percentage of the students.
