Students should now diligently focus on completing the CBSE syllabus promptly. To score well in the final CBSE board exam result, students should majorly focus on ample revision, reinforcing concepts and enhancing their retention power. In this article, we bring essential preparation tips designed to assist students in efficiently covering the syllabus within the stipulated time frame and achieving commendable scores in their final board results.
CBSE has provided a significant interval to students between two board exams for ample preparation time.
When formulating the CBSE Class 12 date sheet, due consideration has been given to competitive exams, including JEE Main and NEET.
Each board exam will commence at 10:30 am. The date sheet of CBSE board exams 2024 has been issued well in advance this academic year so that students have ample time for exam preparation.
CBSE will provide 15 minutes of extra time for students to go through the question paper. This time must be utilised well by the students to compose themselves and form a strategy to answer the paper efficiently.
CBSE will issue certain exam day guidelines as well. Those exam day guidelines will be mentioned on the CBSE admit card 2024 which has to be carried along on each board exam day. Students are advised to adhere to those guidelines to not cause any inconvenience later.
While it is always recommended to start board exam preparation from the beginning of the academic year, some students who started it late can still hope to cover the CBSE syllabus and do well by following an extremely structured and disciplined study timetable. Read below to understand more about how one can do it:
Prioritise Main Topics
Go through the CBSE 10th syllabus and CBSE 12th syllabus carefully and note down topics that carry higher weightage. Focus on completing these high-scoring key topics first and only then go over the remaining topics.
Create a Concrete Schedule
Develop a daily study routine and a timetable with dedicated time slots for each subject, ensuring comprehensive coverage. Do not stray away from being disciplined enough.
Concise Study Material
Pick quality study resources at the last minute such as, CBSE prescribed textbooks and your class notes. Students who are already through with their NCERT coursebooks can also refer to the best CBSE reference books and material.
Seek Expert Help
The subject teachers and tutors can help address doubts promptly. Students can also refer to credible online resources for clarifying doubts.
Short Notes
Crafting concise, important notes is crucial for board exam success. Summarise key concepts, formulas, and definitions in a clear, organised manner. This will come in handy at the time of last-minute revisions.
Revision Schedule
Time is a valuable resource right now and retention of what has been studied is extremely important. Make sure to revise what has already been covered. Therefore, plan a revision schedule to reinforce learned concepts and enhance retention.

Striving for a more comprehensive understanding of the subjects for achieving stellar scores is always preferred, however, aiming for the minimum passing grade is understandable in certain circumstances. Students can go through the pointers mentioned below to pass the CBSE board exams 2024:
To secure passing marks in CBSE board exams, focus on key strategies like - studying high-weightage topics and reviewing important concepts.
Have a positive mindset. Focus on studying only selected topics wisely.
Understand one cannot do much at the last minute. Hence, do not indulge in cramming.
Attempt every question in the exam as each thing answered correctly will fetch some marks. Do not give up casually and stay calm while answering the paper to not make any silly mistakes.
Yes, NCERT textbooks are enough to ensure a thorough understanding of concepts and topics which are a part of board exams. However, students can also refer to some other reference books for additional practice and clarity if required.
Quality studying time should be given preference rather than the number of hours put in. Typically, a focused study time of 4 to 6 hours is considered enough.
Students can visit the official website of CBSE - cbse.gov.in to keep track of the latest announcements and other updates.
Students should focus on creating a realistic study schedule, prioritizing subjects based on their difficulty level. They must also make a structured revision schedule. Remember, staying disciplined and consistent is the key requirement.
