The International Baccalaureate (IB) released the IB exam schedule 2024 for the October/ November session in September 2024. The IB exams take place in two sessions: May 2024 and November 2024. The IB exams of November 2024 began on October 18, 2024, and will conclude on November 11, 2024. Students can download the IB exam schedule from the official website, www.ibo.org. The May 2024 session of the IB exams was conducted from May 6 to May 24, 2024. Due to the wide range of countries where the IB Diploma Programme is offered, the IB exam schedule does not factor in public, national, or school holidays. The organization will strive to accommodate subjects with specific regional or cultural ties for the IB exam schedule. For instance, Arabic literature/language exams will not be scheduled on Fridays.

The IB exam schedule in 2025 will start on Friday, October 24, 2025, and end on Friday, November 14, 2025. However, this schedule is subject to confirmation in 2024.

IB Exam Schedule Preparation

The IB exam schedule does not factor in public, national, or school holidays due to the wide range of countries where the IB Diploma Programme is offered.
Registration data has been analyzed to minimize disruptions to students globally due to subject timetable conflicts.
To mitigate the impact of absences on any given day and maintain continuity for students, almost all subjects are scheduled on consecutive days.
Subjects with the highest candidature are spread out over four weeks to distribute the student workload. For the same reason, language and science exams are scheduled in each of the four weeks.
