My son got 157 marks in kalikiri sainikschool in sc category . Is he get admission ? please explain sir.

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 17th Feb, 2020

You haven't mentioned the class your son has applied for. Neverthless, in 2019, the cut off for Class 6th for SC Category was 185 and for Class 9th, it was 166. With 157 marks, it is a close call. Having said that cut offs change every year depending on various factors and for 2020, the cut off is expected to be around 160-175. If that is the case, then unfortunately, admission might  be tad difficult for your son.

sir my ward scored 188 marks out of 300 in AISSEE 2020 FOR CLASS 6 IHAVE GIVEN ghorakhal as 1st choice and jhansi and mainpuri as 2nd and 3rd choice respectively .is there any chance for admission. I belong to gen category.

Sarthak Dhiman 26th Feb, 2020

Hello Sir.

Your Ward's chances of clearing the cut-off are quite difficult as for general category the cut-offs are usually quite high and getting only 188 out of 300 in AISSEE might not fulfill the criteria.

Considering your first choice, it is extremely difficult to get admission into sainik school Ghorakhal.

Best of luck !

Being ST from same state, why students are listed under domicile list and ST list in AISSEE for class VI results ?

Sonali Sahu Student Expert 26th Mar, 2020

Hello,

a candidate who have categorical reservation and applies for college where he/she or parents have lived gets two reservation. one is categorical reservation quota and home state quota. This is why they get listed in list of ST and domicile. Domicile means resident of the state.

reservation is helpful to provide more college options to candidates who possess it.

Hope it helps!

I am a Defence personal of Indian Army and I want to admit my son in Sainik School Chittorgarh for Class VI. I want to know that in which category I should apply in Cat Gen Home or Defence Home. I belong to Gen Category. Please suggest me.

Sanjay Khandelwal 4th Feb, 2020
For home state a candidate is given 67% reservation for the sanik school in that state. It doesn't have to do anything in reservation quota which is given based on caste. You can choose home state and choose defence quota which is for serving personals and ex servicemen's sons which is 25%. So you can choose defence quota in reservation section. There is nothing to do with general if you choose defence quota.
