Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) has released the Class 12 science blueprint for 2026. The RBSE Class 12 science exams are conducted for a duration of 3 hours per subject, with each subject carrying 100 marks each. For science stream subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Maths and Biology, the evaluation is divided into theory, practical, and internal (sessional) assessment components. The RBSE 12th theory paper carries 56 marks, the practical examination is allotted 30 marks, and the internal or sessional assessment accounts for 14 marks, making a total of 100 marks for each subject.

In the Rajasthan Board Class 12 Hindi blueprint, high focus is given to MCQs (18) and Fill-in-the-blanks (6). This tests students' ability to recall facts from the chapters. The essay (5 marks) and letter (5 marks) sections are categorised under "Skill" (Kaushal/Abhivyakti), meaning students are not just memorising, they are creating. The Aaroh section (Prose and Poetry) includes long answer (3 marks) and essay-type (4-5 marks) questions, which require deep interpretation of themes.

Objective/Easy Scoring (34 Marks): A significant portion of the paper consists of multiple choice questions (MCQs) and very short answer types, especially in the unseen passages and grammar sections.
Grammar (10 Marks): This is a "full marks" zone. It covers:
Conditional sentences (2 Marks)
Phrasal verbs (3 Marks)
Synthesis (2 Marks)
Conjunctions (3 Marks)
Writing skills (14 Marks): These are "Skill-based" questions. Note that letters and reports carry 5 marks each, while shorter tasks like notices or invitations carry 4 marks. These have internal choices.

Vistas is a high priority: Surprisingly, Vistas (16 marks) carries more weight than Flamingo Prose (13 marks). This means students cannot afford to skip the supplementary reader.
Flamingo Poetry (12 Marks): This includes a 5-mark reference to context (explanation) question, which is categorised under "Understanding."
Ray Optics (Chapter 9) is the most important unit, carrying 7 marks. It includes a 3-mark Long Answer question focused on "Understanding".
This is the highest-weighted single question. According to the RBSE 12th science blueprint, the 4-mark Essay question will be based on Chapter 4: Moving Charges and Magnetism.
These are assigned to four specific chapters:
Chapter 1: Electric Charges and Fields.
Chapter 7: Alternating Current.
Chapter 9: Ray Optics.
Chapter 14: Semiconductor Electronics.
The Rajasthan Board 12th science blueprint specifies that Section 'C' (long answer) and Section 'D' (essay type) will each contain one internal choice (an "OR" option).
A significant portion of the paper is dedicated to knowledge (17 marks) and understanding (17 marks), often in the form of MCQs and fill-in-the-blank.

Highest weightage chapter: Aldehydes, Ketones, and Carboxylic Acids (7 marks, 5 questions).
The 4-Mark Essay Question: This single question comes from the Aldehydes, Ketones, and Carboxylic Acids chapter.
3-Mark Long Answer Chapters:
Electrochemistry.
Coordination Compounds.
Alcohols, Phenols, and Ethers.
Chapter 8 (Aldehydes/Ketones) and Chapter 3 (Chemical Kinetics) are the only sections featuring the "Analysis" cognitive level.

Calculus (Chapters 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9) accounts for nearly 45% of the entire paper, or 36 marks.
Integrals (12 marks) is the single most important chapter.
Integration, 3D Geometry, and Probability will have internal choice (OR questions) in the long-answer section.
The 24 marks from knowledge-based questions (MCQs and Fill-in-the-blanks) are spread across all chapters.
Vectors and matrices are high-yield here; they offer easy marks with very short calculations.
3D Geometry (9 Marks): This chapter has high weightage relative to its length. Focus on the shortest distance between lines and plane equations.
LPP (4 Marks): This is a guaranteed 4-mark question. Practice the graphical method carefully.
