The Tamil Nadu 12th board exams use an eight-point grading system, ranging from A1 to E1. A1 signifies the highest achievement (91-100 marks), followed by A2 (81-90), B1 (71-80), B2 (61-70), C1 (51-60), C2 (41-50), and D (35-40), which is the minimum passing grade. A score below 35 marks results in an E1 grade, indicating failure. Each grade corresponds to a grade point, with A1 carrying the highest value of 10.
