The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is going to conduct the class 12 board examination from February 17 to March 25, 2026. The tentative CBSE Class 12 Science exam date 2026 has been released on the official website, at cbse.nic.in, on September 24, 2025. The science stream includes theory papers of physics, chemistry, mathematics, English, Hindi, biology, and computer science/information technology, each worth 70 marks except the English and Hindi. The board will conduct the practical examination for biology, physics, and chemistry for 30 marks before the theory exams. The CBSE Class 12 date sheet 2026 for the science stream will include the subject-wise exam dates, timing, and important guidelines for the examination.

The practical dates for the CBSE Class 12 Science stream will be held from January 1, 2026, and for winter bound schools it will be conducted from November 6 to December 6, 2025. All the CBSE-affiliated schools will conduct their practical examinations based on the schedule released by the board. The practical examinations are conducted by an external invigilator and one internal invigilator. The schools will provide the schedule and details to the students.
The Class 12 science exam is conducted in a single shift by the CBSE board. Students get three hours for each subject in the board examination. The examination will start at 10.30 AM and end at 1.30 PM. In the 3-hour examination, the students need to solve a mixture of multiple-choice questions, short answers, very short answers, and long answers.
