sir can I qualify by getting 130 marks in stage-1 from West Bengal while I am sc student
Hello Aspirant,
See on such score you can easily qualify NTSE stage 1 and also have some chances of being shortlisted for stage 2 because the expected cut-off for shortlisting of candidate for stage 2 from West Bengal is 120-130 for SC category.
NTSE West Bengal expected cut-off for 2021 :-
Category |
Cutoff Marks |
General |
140-150 |
SC (Scheduled Caste) |
120-130 |
ST (Scheduled Tribe) |
90-100 |
OBC (Other Backward Classes) |
100-110 |
PH (Physically Handicapped) |
75-85 |
So it shows that you have some chances to be qualified for stage 2 but still we have to wait because the cut-off mentioned above is only the expected cut-off.
Cut off depends upon various factors such as the difficulty level of stage 1 exam, West Bengal State quota, number of students appeared in the stage 1 exam, last year's NTSE West Bengal cutoff and so on.

I am getting 151 marks in ntse stage 1 Uttar Pradesh 2019. Is I am eligible to sit in stage 2?
Hi Abhay,
SCERT UP is expected to release the NTSE Uttar Pradesh cutoff 2019 in the first week of February, 2019 along with the result. 151 marks seems to be a good score to qualify NTSE stage 1 but you will qualify for stage 2 provided your score is more than the cutoff. Last year, the cutoff of NTSE UP was 121out of 150. This year its a bit difficult to estimate it due to the changes in the exam pattern. The total marks this year have been increased to 200. You can check the link below regularly to stay updated on the release of NTSE UP cutoff 2019:
