Is Hindi mandatory for 9th JNVST

Kenma Kozume 18th Feb, 2025

hi ,

Yes, Hindi is one of the mandatory subjects for the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) for Class 9 admissions. The JNVST exam generally consists of:

  1. Mental Ability Test (MAT) – This tests logical reasoning and mental aptitude.
  2. Arithmetic Test – This focuses on mathematical skills.
  3. Language Test – This includes questions in Hindi and may test reading comprehension and basic language skills.

While Hindi is an important component of the language section, English may also be tested depending on the region and language preferences. However, you should check the official JNVST notification or the JNV website to confirm the exact language requirements for the exam in your area.

hope this helps

Question : A sentence has been given with a blank to be filled with an appropriate option. Choose the correct alternative.

Ram is ______ like the kings before him.

Option 1: none

Option 2: not

Option 3: nor

Option 4: no

Team Careers360 27th Jan, 2024

Correct Answer: not

Solution : The correct choice is the second option.

Explanation:

The given sentence is structured to suggest a comparison between Ram and the kings who came before him. The word not is used to indicate the absence of similarity or likeness between Ram and the previous kings. Grammatically, not is an adverb used to negate or deny something. It modifies the verb is, indicating that Ram lacks similarity or resemblance to the previous kings.

Therefore, the complete sentence is: Ram is not like the kings before him.
