Chapter 1: Some Basic Concepts of chemistry

Chapter 1 of chemistry book has 36 questions. The solutions to all the exercises are given here and the solutions are free. This unit explains the importance of chemistry in our daily life. This unit briefs about fundamental concepts of the subject like – states of matter, Classification of matter, properties of matter and their measurement like mass and weight, volume, density, temperature. This chapter further explains an atomic theory, the law of chemical combinations, chemical reactions, the law of dilution, Stoichiometry, the mixture of acids and bases, normality, the law of chemical equivalence, etc.

Chapter 2: Structure of Atom

The NCERT class 11 chapter 2 has a total of 67 questions. You will find all the solutions to your problems here. This unit deals with the various advancements being made to explain different atomic models which gave a modern structure of atoms. In this unit, students will get to know about the discovery of fundamental particles like electron, proton, and neutrons. Students will also study what isobars, isotopes, atomic numbers, etc is. There are also topics like Pauli's exclusion principle and Hund's rule which are also discussed in this unit.

Chapter 3: Classification of Elements and Periodicity in Properties

In this chapter students will learn about the history of periodic table, and development of the periodic law and the periodic table. The old periodic table or Mendeleev's periodic table was arranged elements based on atomic masses. The modern periodic table arranges the elements based on their atomic numbers. In the periodic table, periodic trends are observed in ionisation enthalpies, atomic sizes, electron gain enthalpies, electronegativity and valence. Chapter 4: Chemical Bonding and Molecular Structure

In NCERT solutions for class 11 Chemistry, chapter 4, you will be introduced with various types of bonding between molecules. The important topics of this unit are intermolecular forces, thermal energy, the gaseous state, ideal gas equation, kinetic molecular theory of gases, liquid State and more. There are only 23 questions in this chapter but these are very important for the exam perspective.

Chapter 6: Thermodynamics

In this chapter, there are 22 questions and solutions are provided here free of cost. This unit talks about the concepts of various systems and different types of systems, surroundings, heat, work, energy and intensive properties and extensive properties and state functions. Chapter 7: Equilibrium

In this chapter, there are 73 questions and it is really an important chapter for the board exam as well as competitive exams. The chapter discusses the concept of equilibrium in chemical and physical processes and provides details about equilibrium's dynamic nature. There are some insights about the equilibrium constant, the law of mass action and the factors affecting the equilibrium state. Also, it tells about ionic equilibrium, ionisation of bases and acids, weak and strong electrolytes, degree of ionisation, the concept of pH, etc

Chapter 8: Redox Reactions

By reading this chapter, you will learn how to balance a reaction. You will study the concept of reduction and oxidation in detail and gain various insights about redox reactions. Also, you will explore oxidation number, balancing redox reactions, loss and gain of electrons, changes in oxidation number and applications of redox reactions. Chapter 9: Hydrogen

You will be surprised to know that Hydrogen is the most abundant element in our universe and the third most abundant element on the surface of the globe. In this unit, you will learn about hydrogen, its occurrence, and its position in the periodic table. And we will also learn about the isotopes of hydrogen, how they are prepared and its properties. Chapter 10: The s-Block Elements

This chapter talks about the s-block elements of the periodic table. In s-block, there are a total of two groups (1&2). The elements of Group 1 are lithium(Li), sodium(Na), potassium(K), rubidium(Rb), caesium(Cs) and francium(Fr). The elements of Group 2 beryllium(Be), Magnesium(Mg), Calcium(Ca), Strontium(Sr), Barium(Ba) and Radium(Ra). In this unit, we will discuss the properties and preparation of important compounds of that element and also discuss some important trends in detail. The chapter has 32 questions.

Chapter 11: The p-Block Elements

In this unit, you will get to know the general introduction about p-block elements. In the periodic table, p-block elements are arranged in six groups which are 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, and 18. This unit covers only two groups 13 and 14, the rest groups will be covered in the class 12th chapter 7 The p-Block elements. In this unit, there are 38 questions in the exercise.

Chapter 12: Organic Chemistry

In this chapter, there are a total of 40 questions in the exercise and the free solutions are available here. Chapter 13: Hydrocarbons
