How to Calculate CBSE 10th, 12th Result Percentage?

To calculate the CBSE 10, 12th percentage, students will have to multiply their overall CGPA by 9.5. For example:

  • If the candidates’ grade points for all six subjects are: 9, 8, 9, 9, 7 and 5 (in case of class 12), then they will have to choose the best of the five subjects

  • Then, they must add the grade points: 9+8+9+9+7 = 42

  • Divide it by 5, i.e., 42/5 = 8.4

  • The CGPA of the best of 5 will be 8.4.

  • To convert it into a percentage, they must multiply the overall CGPA by 9.5 (8.4 x 9.5).

  • Hence, the overall CBSE percentage will be 79.80%.

CBSE 10th, 12th Grading System

The Central Board of Secondary Education follows a 9-point grading system. Below, we have provided CBSE 10th, 12th grading system for students' reference.
