Yes, an exam named as IISER aptitude test through which a student get admission in the SCB channel. However the cutoff marks in board is really high. For 2017 CBSE cutoff is 90%.

Assuming as a general category your expected Rank based on your score will be ranging from 9700-10000.You have less chances in 15 % quota seats, but you have decent chance in state level Gov. colleges.

To get admission in NIT Surathkal in ME, you need to get more than 180 and to get admission in ECE, you will have to score more than 215 and can you please tell how much you are expecting?
