International English Olympiad
Hello,
Yes, a score of 56.7% may be sufficient to qualify for level 2 of the SOF IEO, but it's not guaranteed, as qualification depends on several relative performance criteria, not a fixed score. SOF doesn't use universal pass marks.
I hope it will clear your query!!
No. 40 marks out of 60 does not guarantee qualification for Level 2 of SOF IEO 2025–26.
SOF does not use a fixed cut-off. Selection for Level 2 depends on rank , not only marks.
You qualify for Level 2 if any one of these is met: • Top 5% students of your class • Top 25 rank holders in your class and zone • School topper (minimum 10 students appeared and at least 50% marks)
So, 40/60 may or may not be enough . It depends on your rank and how other students performed.
Hope it helps !

If you're aiming for the International English Olympiad in 2025–2026, here's what you need to know about the cutoffs. The score you need depends on your class. For kids in Class 1 or 2, you’re looking at around 50 out of 100. Classes 3 to 5 usually need about 55, and for Classes 6 to 8, it jumps to around 60. If you’re in Class 9 or 10, expect the cutoff to be close to 65.
These numbers aren’t set in stone—each year, the cutoff shifts a bit, depending on how tough the exam is and how everyone else does. After the exams, schools go through the papers and then announce the final cutoffs for who moves on to the next round, whether that’s regional or international.
If you want to make it through, you have to clear these marks. So, don’t just rely on luck. Practice often, sharpen your grammar, work on comprehension, and build up your vocabulary. The better you get at these, the easier it is to score above the cutoff. The competition keeps things unpredictable, but solid prep always pays off.
