The MSCE Pune (Maharashtra State Council of Examination) 5th Class scholarship exam, or Pre-Upper Primary Scholarship Examination (PUP), is designed to test students on language proficiency, mathematical ability, and logical reasoning. We have provided the Class 5th MSCE syllabus for these subjects below. The MSCE Pune exam consists of two papers, both conducted on the same day. There is no negative marking in the exam, so students can attempt all questions. Since candidates are given 90 minutes to answer 75 questions, they have approximately 1.2 minutes per question, making effective time management essential.

There are two Maharashtra MSCE question papers, and each paper is divided into two sections. Section I includes questions 1 to 25 from the First Language, while Section II consists of questions 26 to 75 from Mathematics. All 75 questions are compulsory, and each question carries 2 marks. The time limit to complete the question paper is 90 minutes.
