Kendriya Vidyalaya Mumbai Class 1 Admission 2026-27

• Admission to Kendriya Vidyalaya for Class 1 is done online.
• Students and parents must apply through the official website, romumbai.kvs.gov.in or admission.kvs.gov.in.
• Another way to apply is through Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan's mobile app.
• When you visit the website, you will notice a link to apply for Kendriya Vidyalaya Mumbai admissions 2026-27 in Class 1. When you click on the link, the online form will appear on your display.
• Fill in the blanks and submit the form with the necessary documents.
• The list of chosen students will be provided once the application process is concluded.
• In the first phase of admission, 10 seats (out of 40) in Class 1 in each section will be allocated in compliance with the RTE provisions.
• The remaining seats will be filled in the second round of admission using the existing Priority category procedure.

Admissions to Classes 2 to 8 in KV Mumbai 2026-27

• Offline applications for admissions to classes 2–8 are accepted. Admissions will be offered exclusively based on available seats.
• The Kendriya Vidyalaya admission form will be available in the different schools offline.
• The admission will be granted based on the Priority category system.
• The lottery system may be followed if the number of applicants exceeds the number of seats.

Admissions to Class 9 Kendriya Vidyalaya Mumbai 2026-27

• The application form for Class 9 admissions will be accessible in the respective KVs in offline mode.
• For admission to Class 9, an admission exam will be conducted.
• The exam will include Hindi, English, Math, Social Science, and Science.
• The test duration will be 3 hours, and the total marks will be 100.
• To qualify for the test, a student has to secure a minimum of 33% marks (25% for reserved category students).

Class 11 Admission to Kendriya Vidyalaya Mumbai 2026-27

• KV students will get admission in Class 11 in the Science, Commerce, and Humanities streams based on marks scored in Class 10.
• The minimum marks required for each stream are as follows:
• A minimum of 60% marks is required for the Science Stream.
• A minimum of 55% marks in the Commerce Stream
• Humanities Stream: All students who have successfully passed the 10th exam
• A merit list will be declared once the registration process is completed.
• If seats remain vacant, then admission will be given to the students of neighbourhood KVs and the students of State Boards/ICSE/NIOS.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Mumbai Admissions 2026-27 Age Limit

The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan has set an age limit for admissions to classes 1 to 10. The principals of individual schools at Kendriya Vidyalaya Mumbai have the authority to provide age relaxations of up to two years to differently-abled students. There are no age restrictions for Kendriya Vidyalaya Mumbai Admissions 2026-27 in classes 11th and 12th.
