B.D.M. International School, Kolkata Organises Workshop On Montessori Methods In Pre-Primary
B.D.M. International School, Kolkata, recently organised a 2-day workshop on ‘Use of Montessori methods in Pre-primary’ as part of the Staff Development Programme. Santwana Basu, ECA member and the director of Casa-Dei-Bambini in Kolkata, served as the resource person. Teachers practised using the Montessori tools firsthand and shared ideas on various activities used at various levels. The use of new approaches and the adoption of conventional Montessori materials were also explored.

B.D.M. International students recently won a science project competition held by the Electrical Engineering Department of Jadavpur University. Students of class 11, Tannistha Debnath, Swapneel Bose, and Debopam Roychowdhury won first place and received certificates of achievement along with a cash prize of Rs 3000. The project that the students produced was titled "Use of Ionic Wind as a Coolant."
