Kendriya Vidyalaya, Tirumangalam

Kendriya Vidyalaya Anna Nagar was established in July 1995 under the aegis of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS). KV Anna Nagar is a co-educational, civil sector school, situated in GPRA Campus in the heart of Chennai city. Kendriya Vidyalaya Anna Nagar aims to provide quality education and a uniform platform especially to the children of transferable central and state government employees including defence and paramilitary forces.

KV Anna Nagar, Thirumangalam was started with just 1 section from classes 1 to 5. Now, the Vidyalaya has fully-fledged classes up to class 12 with 4 sections up to class 10 and 3 in classes 11 & 12. This Vidyalaya is spread over an area of 3.54 acres of land leased by CPWD with an enrolment of around 2500 students presently at its campus. 

Kendriya Vidyalaya Anna Nagar campus building has 55 classrooms, 3 computer labs, 3 labs and a playground with activity rooms, and a thoughtfully stocked library. The school has devised various interesting techniques and activities to achieve its aim of overall personality development of the child, like innovative methods in teaching, parent-teachers interaction, remedial classes, engagement of contractual teaching staff and coaches for various activities, review of student performances etc.

The admission to Kendriya Vidyalaya is held on the basis of available seats for classes 2 to 11. While class 1 admission to Kendriya Vidyalaya Anna Nagar starts after the notification is released by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan in the month of March.
