Admissions to Kendriya Vidyalaya Shahdara are conducted as per the guidelines set by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan. The Kendriya Vidyalaya Delhi admission process is transparent and primarily online, ensuring equal opportunities for all eligible candidates. Details are as follows:
Class I: Registration begins around March-April every year.
Other Classes: Admission depends on seat availability and starts after Class I admissions registration. Forms are made available at KV Shahdara campus.
The KV admission Eligibility criteria for admissions are as follows:
Priority Category: Preference is given to children of Central Government employees, Defence personnel, State Government employees, and private sector employees based on the priority system defined by KVS.
Reservation: Seats are reserved for Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), and physically disabled students.
Age Criteria: The child must fulfil the age requirement for the respective class as stipulated by the KVS guidelines. Details can be found in the table below:
