Kendriya Vidyalaya, Andrews Ganj

Kendriya Vidyalaya Andrews Ganj is a co-educational school, affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). KV Andrews Ganj came into existence on September 4, 1969, with the aim to provide quality education and equal opportunity to transferable state and central government employee kids including defence and para-military forces. 

Now, Kendriya Vidyalaya Andrews Ganj has a full-fledged three-storied building with all the basic amenities for children. The school is running presently in two shifts with completely different staff, school timing and functioning in the same campus building. The second shift started its first batch from the academic year 2009-10. The Kendriya Vidyalaya Andrews Ganj first shift has four sections each in class 1 to 10 and five sections in class 11 and 12 with three sections of Science, one section each of Commerce and Humanities. While the second shift has 3 sections each in class 1 to 12. 

The school is touching new heights under the guidance of Dr. R. K Sharma, Principal. Currently, the Kendriya Vidyalaya Andrews Ganj has enrolled around 4400 students in its campus. Students appear for AISSE (class X) and AISSCE (Class XII) exams every year in the month of March. The school also offers a wide range of games and sports facilities to its students like Lawn Tennis, Kho Kho, Volley Ball, Gym, Foot Ball, Skating Rink, Basket Ball etc.

The admission to Kendriya Vidyalaya Andrews Ganj is conducted every year in the month of March after the notification is released by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) for class 1. The admissions for class 2 to 11 are solely based on available vacancies.
