Students Of Army Public School Perform Excellently In Class 10 and 12 Exams

Army Public Schools (APS) have a constantly better percentage of students passing the class 10 and 12 boards over the last three years. The passing percentage is around 99 per cent for both the classes. During the Covid-19 period, the percentage of students scoring above 95 percent in class 12 boards increased more than four times in 2020-21 compared to the results in 2018-19 board exams.

The APS have been known for their excellence, discipline, education facility, faculty members and the brilliant performance of their students in board exams.

Careers360 has drawn this data from the website of Army Welfare Education Society and studied the APS results for Class 10 and Class 12 over the last three years.

Class 12 Result : Over The Last Three Years

More than 12,000 students appeared for class 12 exam and around 99.85 per cent of these students passed the exam.

When compared to Class 10, there were more students of Class 12 who could not clear the exams successfully. In the last three years, seven students of Class 10 were helped back, whereas 32 students of Class 12 couldn’t clear the exam. While 100 students of class 10 and 207 students of class 12 got compartment, in the same period.

Compartment exam is the option to reappear for the one subject, in which a student has failed, without having to repeat an academic year.

Class 10 Result: Over The Last Three Years

Background wave

The number of appeared students and passed students has increased by more than 27 per cent over the last three years.

APSs have shown an excellent record for Class 10 each year, the percentage of students passing is always more than 99.66 per cent and it reached to 100 per cent in the latest year.

Score-Wise Percentage: Class 12

More than 77 per cent students had scores of 80 per cent or above in 2020-21 in Class 12 boards. This percentage was a little less than 50 per cent two years back in 2018-19.

Score-Wise Percentage: Class 10

Around 40 per cent students scored 80 per cent or above in 2020-21, while this percentage was around 52 percent in 2018-19.

The change during this period is seen more in Class 12 results as compared to class 10.

Students willing to get admitted into the APS need to appear in the Common Entrance Test-2023 of Army Public school. Students of Class 5 to Class 9 are admitted to the residential school of APSs.
