DAV Public School (DAV) was established in 1989. It is a Co-ed school affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). It is managed by DAV College Managing Committee (DAVCMC). “The goal of the school is to provide the students the courage and fortitude to embark on a global quest. The primary objective is to mold each child into a decent person and useful member of society.

DAV public school's vision and mission are to incorporate more activities into the previously established clubs and extracurricular activities in order to facilitate innovation”, says the school’s website.

DAV Public School, Dehradun: Other Events

DAV Public School, Dehradun recently celebrated science week. Classes from 3 to 5 presented on the subject of ‘Importance of Water’. Through stage performances, they demonstrated some of the fundamental physical properties of water, including cohesion, adhesion, water's specific heat, and its use as a universal solvent. Students of classes 6 to 8 presented on ‘Eye Donation’ through theatrical performances, sketches, and poems regarding eye donation. A 5R awareness programme on Refuse, Reduce, Recycle, Reuse, and Repurpose for reducing the dependence on plastic was created and spread by students from classes 9 to 12.
